I absolutely positively HATE memorzing. I used to be okay with it, until Juries. For those of you who don't know (if you're even reading this), Juries are when you have to go in front of your teachers and I guess you could say "judges" and perform. Then they'll get back to you on how you did. Well, I have to memorize a monologue, two songs, and a dance. Musical Theater students have the hardest job in my arts school when it comes to Juries and of course I chose that track. I'm pretty happy that I chose it, because I love Musical Theater but the stress is just piling. When it comes to memorization, I'm not very skilled, seeing as I have not a lot of experience with it. It would be humiliating to mess up in front of the entire freshman class of MT and Theater, so I'm hoping I do well *cross fingers*. Okay, done complaining, now for the bright side. I love the songs I'm doing and the monologue. The dance we're being taught on the spot, so I don't know how I'm going to feel about that, probably good, because I love my teacher. I'm comforted that we're learning it on the spot, actually, because dance is my best subject and they won't grade us as harshly seeing as we had nothing to prepare. The song I'm doing is "Goodnight My Someone" from The Music Man, which I have many good memories from and I'm pretty confident with the song already. The other song is Italian and I didn't get to pick it, but I know how to speak Italian which gives me an advantage that I am most grateful for. My monologue is funny, which I like. Seriousness would have been a little more challenging and I wanted to make this less stressful.
Okay, if you have any memorization tips, please, please, please let me know!!

Random Update
It's been over a year since I last wrote a blog but that's only because I forgot about blogging and I have like zero time and there are not a lot of interesting things going on in my life...like at all. The things going on in my life at the moment is another play, actually the same one last time where I am the same rolls and that's about it. Also, I'm now writing four books instead of three and I've found out that I'm very bad at keeping up with them. Procrastination is my biggest problem and will most likely get me into major trouble later in life. The one book I've been working on more then the others is called The Lost. I'm on the fourth or fifth page which is a wonderful example of how much I procrastinate. School gets in the way though as I'm sure many people can relate to. I'm currently going to a performing arts high school and I'm loving it. Well, that's all I got for ya right now but seeing as there's no one but my bestest friend following my blog it doesn't really matter what I write on here.
One more thing..I'm going to start posting book recommendations at the bottom of my blogs because I think people definitely shouldn't die without reading some of them.
Books:
City of Bones/City of Ashes/City of Glass (series) - Cassandra Clare
Dracula - Bram Stoker
The Picture of Dorian Grey - Oscar Wilde
A Great and Terrible Beauty/Rebel Angels/The Sweet Far Thing (series) - Libba Bray
P.S. this might be a very dumb blog and please comment if it is, thank you :) (you can comment if it isn't also)

Okay, so I'm totally new to blogging but not so new to writing. I love reading, but when I was younger I found out that writing books could be more fun then reading them, at least to me. That's when it came to me that I should start writing one of my own. Currently, I am writing three, one with my sister, one with a great writer friend of mine, and one that I made up all by myself. Writing is my passion and its just something that comes naturally to me, although it may not show here. Like I said, I'm new to blogging and don't really have any idea how to do anything on here. That's just me, though, I get confused easily, but also can catch on kind of quick. Yes, I know, I'm redundant. My friends and I are weird, outgoing, crazy, and fun, I wouldn't have it any other way. I try to include all of this in my characters, just to make my books a little more interesting.
Writing is fun, but I also like to express myself in other ways like theater and dance. Acting is great because instead of writing a character you get to be one yourself, I'm currently in two plays, one at my church and one at my school. I know you're probably thinking "lame" but it's amazing dancing and singing with some of my greatest friends. At my school we're doing the Music Man and my best friend got the honor of being Marian Paroo, she deserved it too. I love to watch her sing and act up there with Nathan (Harold Hill), she rocks at it. I'm a dancer and a town's person, not very big rolls but still a lot of fun and I still think I should give my best. I like to jump into my character and really be in Iowa dancing the "Shipoopi" or waiting for the "Wells Fargo Wagon". Yeah, yeah, I'm completely cheesy and should just shut up now, but it's the truth and I'm not afraid to say it. My other play at my church is awesome, I'm a heaven dancer, hosanna dancer, and a floor angel. It's a huge production and I'm proud to be a part of it. Plus I love dancing and the choreagrophy for this play is amazing and so fun.
I'm looking forward to going to a performing arts highs school next year as a freshman. I want to study acting and I was thrilled when I found out that I got excepted to that school along with my best friend and sister.
Well, I better go get inspired into my "writing zone", just kidding, I'm definately not that weird. Although I am a total nerd, at least I have a life and know I'm going to spend it. Ciao Ciao (that means goodbye in Italian)
